ariving in rome

My connecting flight from heathrow arrived at fumincino just after 14:00 local time (yes yes I know but in Italy it seems that military time is the norm). It took anther half hour to get through customs and get that all important stamp on my pass port, however it took them even longer to unload our luggage so we did not meet up with the temple roam person until 15:30 before she had to run off to another gate and meet people from another flight. after that we pilled into a van and where driven to our new home, Residences Medaglie D'oro, basically a glorified apartment complex with strict rules governing guests (basically you cant have them). Now when I said I could do nothing simply this is quite true, upon our arrival we had to check in with the guard/ I forget what we are supposed to call them, give them our passports to check against the information temple had provided them, then give us our room key and say ciao... or thats what was supposed to happen, temple however had listed me as female... in a room with two other females(who turned out to actually be girls) and while i did not have any real problem with this it never got that far as they kept me at the gate until they got the building manager down there who(did not speak a word of English) then called temple explained things to them, then gave me the phone and had them explain things to me and gave me a key to a room on the top floor... while temple instructed me not to unpack and they would have things sorted out by friday, this process took about an hour to compleat, and thankfully that have elevators that run to the 7th floor... no pictures of the building yet its been rather rainy thus far so ill get those up ass soon as i take them
